Hi, I’m Frank Sala, the founder of Cat Gate Graphics, nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains of southern Vermont. My days are filled with three things I’m truly passionate about—graphic design, gardening, and taking care of the cats and kittens at the Second Chance Animal Center in Arlington.

Life threw me a couple of major curveballs when I survived both a heart attack and a stroke. These experiences led me on a deep journey to heal the early trauma that played a role in those health challenges. With my verbal communication temporarily on pause, I turned to visual expression...
The result is the upcoming Burglar in My Body: How Shamanic Journeying Healed Childhood Trauma and Gave Me Back My Life—a graphic memoir that captures the intensity of that healing journey through flowing images of fantasy, emotion, pain, horror, and ultimately, deliverance.​
It’s my fervent wish that Burglar will serve as a beacon for others on their healing path.

During the years when language was not available to me, I discover my talent for visual media. It was profoundly healing to put into images the complicated thoughts and emotions that I could not express in words.
